WOW! Blogging REALLY got away from me the past couple of months. I am so happy to say the school year ended and I am officially on summer break! I am looking forward to blogging lots more during these summer months. As I am preparing for my first summer wedding tomorrow, I thought I would share a glimpse into my past two months before diving head first into wedding and engagement session posts. Between hosting my first backyard cookout at my new place, my brother graduating from JMU, my first year teaching at Atlee concluding, and maintaining friendships, it has been a crazy busy last couple of months. Thanks for following along, hope everyone’s summer is off to a great start.
First up was my brother’s graduation from JMU! I had a BLAST being back in Harrisonburg and getting to know all of his friends a little better.
I came back to Harrisonburg the next weekend for Emily and I to attend and volunteer at Rocktown, our favorite annual beer festival.
These next couple pictures are bittersweet. My friend Hannah moved to San Diego for an awesome job and living opportunity. As happy as I am for her, it was hard to see her go. We keep reminding ourselves that now we have a reason to visit Cali. We tried to fit in as much fun with her as we could her last couple weeks in town.
These three girls are now speech/language pathologists!!! So proud of them for graduating grad school!
For mother’s day we took mom to Legends Brewery that overlooks the city, so fun!
The next couple of pictures are for Atlee’s prom!!! I had such a blast seeing my students all dressed up and hanging out with the other teachers.
This was the start of the river trips. Dad recently bought a boat so this is almost an every weekend adventure now!
This is proof that us girls can and will LINEDANCE! We were not very good, but hey it was a fun!
Emily and I spent a weekend at the river/beach to see Jake Owen play in concert.
The sunset from her dad’s boat was unreal…
My friend Christina and her husband announced that they are pregnant, I am so so excited! They live right down the street from me so this will be lots of fun! My cousin, Kevin and his wife Diem recently had a baby as well. She is ADORABLE and spent her first weekend at the river and on the boat.
I braved the heat and kiddos and went on the senior trip with Atlee’s senior class to the DC zoo. It was a lot of fun!
The school year came to an end..I had an AMAZING first year at Atlee. It seriously is my dream job! I worked with an incredible group of people!
Celebrating the last day of school and Liz’s engagement at Lunch/Supper- one of my favorite local restaurants!
Watching all of our students walk across the stage at graduation was such a cool experience!
The next couple pictures are from Dobson’s surprise 30th birthday party. Christina did an awesome job getting all of his family and friends to Richmond, he was so shocked!
The next pictures are all Richmond adventures- farmers markets, yoga, VMFA happy hours, and hikes along the James. I LOVE this city!
Thanks for sticking with me through the crazy couple months- I am back to blogging and jumping head first into the summer wedding season!
