Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.

Historic Whitewood Wedding

One word sums up Tatum and Ryan’s Historic Whitewood Wedding day- JOY!!!! These two were so excited to be married, the rest was just minor details. Literally my favorite type of wedding. I also may have squealed when I read Tatum’s questionnaire and she mentioned all of the wildflowers. Every detail came together so beautifully.

The day started with private vows by the greenhouse. The entire time they shared vows a sweet butterfly circled them, it was so sweet. Next, Tatum and Ryan shared a first look and got most of their portraits done so they could enjoy cocktail hour. The ceremony was so special and concluded with Ryan scooping up Tatum and running down the aisle- literally so much joy! The pool was a perfect location for cocktails on this hot day. Historic Whitewood offers so many locations and sitting areas for guests to enjoy with their drinks.

Reception

Their reception was complete with a disco ball, caricature artist, ice cream sandwiches, and so much dancing! The big surprise at the end of the night was a full firework show. The longest show I’ve seen at a wedding- SOOO amazing. This day won’t be topped. I’m so excited for you two and hope you had a great time on your honeymoon. Enjoy reliving the best day!
