Your engagement photos should be taken somewhere that is special to your relationship!! I only take engagement photos about two hours before the sun sets (think golden hour) and on weekdays. If you need help brainstorming locations, I am happy to help with this! I also offer styling advice to help figure out the best outfit choices for the two of you. I promise to make you feel comfortable behind the camera. I tell my couples to plan a date night or dinner after their engagement photos since you’ll already be dressed up and because you’ll have so much fun taking pictures, you’ll want to continue the night.

I offer one package and that includes engagement photos and the whole experience. I want each and every client to get the full bridal experience, so I offer one package at one price. You can add on things such as a second shooter, or bridal portraits, or extra time.

Engagement sessions are included in my package for so many reasons! I would hate to show up on your wedding day and have to get to know you and your fiance all before starting to photograph your wedding. My couples that take advantage of the engagement session feel way more comfortable on their wedding day and already know my style and posing. You feel like a friend is showing up to photograph you instead of a vendor. Also, it’s so much fun to use your engagement photos for save the dates, and to have on display around your wedding. If you do not need engagement photos, I’m happy to trade this shoot out for bridal portraits.

My package includes 8 hours of photography on your wedding day. It is near impossible to photograph all of the elements of your day with any less time. I do offer add ons for more coverage if you will be having a longer day. I love to photograph your details, getting ready shots, ceremony, portraits, reception, and so much more!

This is completely up to you but I can give you all of the advice you need on this topic. My couples that do a first look receive 40% more portraits of the two of them! First looks also create room in the timeline to relax and get photos done early so you can attend your own cocktail hour. I also have seen some extremely intimate first looks that mimic what it would be like seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle. I’m happy to chat more about this decision.

Yes!! I photograph just as many DC, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg weddings as I do Richmond. I also would love to travel to photograph your wedding outside of Virginia (or even outside of the country). I can send you my travel rates if this is something you are interested in.

Yes and no. I have photographed 48 weddings without using a second shooter. I know the flow of the wedding day with my eyes closed. With that being said, if your wedding is at multiple locations then I recommend adding on a second shooter to my basic package. I am happy to talk more about this with you.
