Ah, I can’t believe I am sharing my last wedding of the 2016 wedding year!!! And boy was this a wedding to end on. First of all, Katie has been a family friend of ours for most of my life! Over the past year, I have gotten the chance to know Erick. Erick is literally the best and such a good fit for Katie. He loves her so much, was involved and excited about the wedding planning process, has a way of making you feel welcome and comfortable…you two are perfect together! Erick and Katie both grew up in the Richmond area, Katie went to Tech and Erick to Hampden-Sydney, meeting after college back in their hometown of Richmond. They live in a fun neighborhood here and just got the cutest puppy!!! A couple unique things about this wedding…
1. There were SO many special moments (first look with dad, with bridesmaids, grooms first look down the aisle, Katie’s dads amazing speech, etc).
2. Because Katie is a family friend, I knew so many guests at the wedding, this was a first for me! An even bigger first- my parents were guests, ahh! They have never seen me shoot so this super cool as well. I loved seeing familiar faces all day, made me so happy!
3. Katie and Erick had a DREAM TEAM of vendors. All of their sites are linked below, please check them out. Amazing flowers, make-up and hair were perfect, I got to work with two incredible videographers, DJ that is the reason we got all these fun dance pictures, a planner that helped me hang each one of those dresses, the awesome baker was a groomsman’s wife (so amazing) and lots more!
4. Well Katie and Erick have these friends that can dance, like REALLY DANCE…just wait! Enjoy this amazing wedding and get ready for lots more in 2017!
Katie’s mom MADE this flower wall…..what?!? so cool!
This dress shot definitely needed to be accompanied by a behind the scenes look….Thanks Casie for your balancing skills!
Beautiful blooms by the Proper Petal!
The guys had an awesome club room to themselves all morning.
Katie had the most amazing group of bridesmaids! She had 10 girls that ranged from family, her new sister in laws, to her very best friends. They were so fun to work with and get to know. I loved how we last minute decided for Katie to do a “first look” with them as well. Their reactions are priceless.
Katie also did a first look with her dad and then hopped on the elevator to head to her ceremony, so surreal!
This lobby, that veil, Katie you were stunning!!!
The trolley was the pre-party for the even bigger party!
Katie’s dad gave an INCREDIBLE speech…not a dry eye in the entire place!
To say Katie & Erick’s friends can dance is an understatement….
The stanky leg PROS. literally.
Saying bye to your best friend/maid of honor minutes before leaving your wedding….gah, so emotional! Such a cool exit- they used streamers that stayed attached to the canister so there wasn’t much clean up!
Erick & Katie- Glad we grabbed this picture. Thank you both for an incredible day!!! You and your family and friends made me feel so welcomed!
Thanks to an incredible team of vendors, check out their sites and leave them some love!
