Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.
How to make the best of a long weekend in Sedona, Arizona.
Cody and Katie waited for this day for a long time. They tied the knot on a beautiful Spring day in Richmond.
Brittany and Everette traveled down from DC to experience the beautiful scenery at Libby Hill Park and on Monument Avenue.
Jaime and Bryant were another one of my special pandemic couples!! They got married on October 17th, 2020 at The Granary at Valley Pike on a beautiful day. They cut down their guest list significantly and took precautions to keep guests safe but at the end of the day, they got married!! Bryant and Jaime […]
I had my website under construction last Fall so I couldn’t share some of my favorite weddings ever! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing my 2020 Fall weddings here on the blog. Patrick and Becky are up first and they are AMAZING. These two were supposed to get married in May of 2020 […]
This post was not easy to write! What a strange time we live in, right?! As a professional wedding vendor and bride-to-be during COVID, I thought I’d share some tips to decide what to do if it looks like your wedding date is going to be affected by the pandemic. So first things first, you […]
My favorite blog post of the whole entire year!!!! This is my 5th annual bride and groom superlatives and I am SO excited to share and brag on all of my 2020 brides and grooms. Most of these couples had to make significant changes to their wedding day and did it with such grace. 2020 […]
This was my second wedding I’ve ever photographed at the bride and groom’s home. There is something SO special about getting married at your own home. You will be able to revisit the exact spot you got married everyday. Honestly, I’m a tad jealous! This wedding did not happen without heartache and tribulation though. Mills […]
Carlisle and Christy’s wedding was so special!!! They got married on a beautiful Friday afternoon two weeks ago with their closest family and friends in attendance. Carlisle and Christy each have 4 incredible kids. It was so cool to see the two families come together. I am so thankful for my friendship with Christy’s daughter, […]
It’s time again for my favorite post of the whole year- Bride and Groom Superlatives 2019!!! This is my fourth full year photographing weddings and I’d love for you to go back and check out 2016, 2017, and 2018 superlatives. This year was by far my best year in business. I had an absolute blast […]
Get ready for some raw, real pictures with this wedding! I usually shed a tear or two behind the camera while photographing a wedding, but this wedding I was full on balling my eyes out. I am so excited to share these images with you! Krystina and Beth got married at the beautiful Altria Theater […]
I don’t even know where to start with this wedding because it was honestly so wonderful. This was my last wedding of 2019 and wedding season officially went out with a bang. My 2020 wedding season starts in January instead of May or June this year, which I’m excited about. Ally and Daniel got married […]
