Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.

Joseph and Becca’s beautiful wedding is one I’ll never forget. It was my first time at Oakdale and it made me so excited for 3 more weddings there in the next year because it’s an amazing venue. It is tucked away in Ashland, Va surrounded by a lake, amazing sunlight, and beautiful views! Joseph and Becca had an incredible team of vendors, see their websites below.

These two met at a bonfire and as they like to say, the rest is history. Becca is a hair stylist at a local salon and Joseph is a Goochland Police Officer, we are thankful for your service Joseph! You could probably tell Becca was a stylist before I even mentioned it because her hair was down all night and was IMMACULATE the whole wedding and reception. A couple moments I will never forget about their wedding day: The first looks Becca did with her dad, brother, and Joseph, the emotional ceremony, the best dance party, and my favorite- Joseph looking at Becca all day (If you look through the blog, you’ll see Joseph looks at Becca with a love that anyone would be lucky to have).

Another fun thing about this wedding is these two just got back from their honeymoon at Atlantis in the Bahamas. My parents had a timeshare here my whole childhood so it holds a special place in my heart. Joseph kept joking with me about me coming on their honeymoon and I almost took him up on it, I wish!!

Becca and Joseph- thank you for trusting me to document your wedding day. I have enjoyed getting to know you both and your incredible family and friends. This is just the beginning of a friendship! Enjoy reliving your wedding day!

Joseph- the relationship you have with your dad is incredible. I hope if I ever have a son, him and Craig can have a relationship like you and your dad.
