I don’t have favorite weddings because I truly love aspects of every wedding I photograph but this sweet couple rescheduled their wedding FOUR TIMES, so I had the most time to look forward to their celebration, wink wink! It absolutely lived up to the hype and beyond! Lindsey and Matt actually got married in December of 2019 overlooking the city of Richmond, in hopes of having a party/reception in June of 2020. June of 2020 looked very different than a lot of us expected, so they moved their celebration to June of 2021. Matt’s family is from England and would be traveling in for the reception so in June of 2021, there were still travel restrictions in place, so again they moved their reception to January of 2022 with high hopes. I’ll never forget THREE days before the third reschedule getting a text from Lindsey that they had covid, insert absolute panic on my end!! The crazy thing about all of this is Lindsey was always so calm. She was already married and was just excited to spend time with people she loved no matter when that was. We rescheduled again for June 2022 and it was was the BEST DAY. The weather was perfect, the setting was amazing, and two beautiful families and lots of friends came together to celebrate these two. They even got to have their two year old son in attendance, which was so special. Lindsey (and let’s be real, her mother) are 100% qualified to be professional wedding planners now!! A few things about this day I’ll never forget- watching how nervous the two of you were when you walked out to your vow renewal with all eyes on you, ha!, the INCREDIBLE speeches while the sun was setting, and meeting so many of your friends and family I had heard about over the years. Thank you two for trusting me all of this time!
Side note- Lindsey wore her mom’s wedding dress. I have photographed 75 weddings and this was a first for me. She got simple alterations done but seeing photos of her mom in the same dress was so cool!
This sticker says “same husband, 4th marriage.” Ha!!!
Lindsey is a bridal icon and dream!
Smelling mom’s flowers, cue the tears!
Fat Rabbit (local in Richmond) made the most delicious cakes!!!
These three have been friends/sisters for a longggg time! It was so special to see the three of them together!
