Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.

Spring at Keswick Vineyard
You may think you shouldn’t get married at a vineyard when the vines aren’t in full bloom, but I’m here to tell you it is just as beautiful!! When I showed up in early April to Keswick, I found so many great spots to take photos- truly one of the my favorite venues in the area. Kacie and James had guests from all over the country and I heard numerous people comment on how beautiful of a location they chose. A spring Keswick Vineyard wedding was the perfect choice!
Sentimental Wedding
Kacie and James did not leave any detail untouched. They even had their two adorable dogs come for a first look and few photos. Take a look at their engagement session HERE to see Judy & Bentley modeling in Richmond. The dog outfits were so adorable!
Speeches and dances were also so sentimental. Somehow I always end up getting chocked up behind the camera. A few moments I will never forget from this wedding- Kacie’s dad bringing out her stuff animal from childhood, Kacie and James’ choreographed first dance, and the dance party that lasted well into the night!

Judy and Bentley were a little nervous to be in a new place but they were models! Kacie and James hired a dog sitter to bring the dogs to the venue for portraits, this worked out perfectly!!
Billie was a dear friend of Kacie’s that she met through a class she took in college who recently passed. Billie didn’t have nearby family and essentially became a part of Kacie’s amazing family. I loved all of the Billie touches throughout the day and hearing more about their relationship during the speeches.
Those of you that don’t think your groom will react to you walking down the aisle if you do a first look, I’m here to tell you that is NOT the case. James was a mess watching Kacie and her dad come down the aisle!
