Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.

Alturia Farm Wedding

Today I am sharing Lauren & Corey’s beautiful Alturia Farm wedding. The day started in the beautiful bridal suite that overlooks the chapel and the barn. I told Lauren and Corey so many times how thankful we were to be at Alturia Farm because of their incredible rain backup plan! The rain did not let up until sunset and you would never know looking at these photos!! We had so many options for first looks, bridal party photos, and the ceremony that were under cover. We also got to take the golfcart out at sunset for beautiful outdoor portraits. I’m so thankful Lauren and Corey were so chill and just focused on getting married. They trusted all of their vendors to lead the way throughout the day.

Lauren & Corey’s Love Story

Lauren and Corey met through friends that were in attendance at the wedding. How cool to go to someone’s wedding that you set up?! I hope I get to do that one day! If you know these two, you’ve heard about their precious dogs. Hank and Knox are the sweetest sidekicks and were so well behaved at the wedding, I couldn’t believe it. Just wait until you see the photos of them at the ceremony. They sat there so perfectly watching mom and dad get married. We were able to take some portraits with them and then a dog sitter took them back home. Knox is named after Corey’s second love- Tennessee football. I loved the jokes made during speeches and songs throughout the reception that tied their love back to Tennessee.

Thank you both for such an incredible day. I loved meeting your family and friends. You guys really know how to throw a party! I hope you’re having an incredible honeymoon. Enjoy reliving the best day!
