Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia. I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.
What a way to end 2024!!!! Katie and Andrew had the most amazing Winter Commonwealth Club wedding on December 14th! The day started at the Jefferson Hotel with Katie and her family and friends. They had the biggest suite rented which made for some awesome photos later at sunset. Then we met the guys at Battery Park Christian Church for a classic intimate ceremony. The bridal party then headed back to the suite at The Jefferson for some celebrating and photos. Katie’s dad has an awesome old car we took photos with. It was so nice to have this hour to just hang and celebrate! Then we all headed to the iconic Commonwealth Club for an amazing reception. Jump Street Band played all night, the food was absolutely amazing (full oyster bar), and lots of love was in the air all night.
An Amazing Night
Katie and Andrew decided to officially get married this past summer with just their families on the beach. This took the pressure off a little for their wedding day this December. Something I really appreciated about this wedding was Andrew’s involvement in all the meetings and decision making. Andrew needs to be a party planner, he had every detail nailed down and the night went so smooth because of both of their incredible planning skills. I really enjoyed meeting your family and friends- you two are surrounded by some of the best people. With close to 200 guests, you guys are loved by so many! It was so cool seeing friends come together from your childhood, college, and current places of occupation. Thank you for allowing me to have a small part of this amazing day. Also, a huge shoutout to my second shooter, Emily Dages. This wedding had lots of moving parts and would have been next to impossible without her! Enjoy reliving the best day!
What an incredible wedding to end the year on!! To see another 2024 wedding, check out Tim & Thanh!
