I’m so excited to share Lindsey and Rob’s wedding day at Linden Row Inn with you! Lindsey and I have really gotten to know each other over the past year during her wedding planning journey, I’m sad that’s all over but know we will be friends for awhile. Another awesome and slightly intimidating thing about this wedding is Lindsey is also a photographer on the side! Anytime another photographer chooses me to take their photos, it is the utmost honor!! Luckily, Lindsey and Rob are SO laid back and even the rain didn’t interfere with their day. They had to get married under the tent and pivot plans a little but you would have never known.
Lindsey and Rob met in college and stayed together while Lindsey attended grad school at JMU. They live together in Richmond with their dog, Belle (see Belle’s wedding day appearance below). They were SO excited to finally be married and because of that, their day was full of so much joy. While Lindsey and Rob walked around to mingle with tables, one of their friends asked them to stop and come up with three words that they were feeling in that exact moment. I thought that was such a great question and their answer was even better. They felt thankful, excited, and amazed to be surrounded by so many loved ones.
A few things about this wedding day I won’t ever forget are Lindsey singing “When I look to the sky” as a surprise to everyone, Lindsey’s uncle jamming out with the band and the crowd going wild, and the amount of love these families have for each other! I hope you both had an amazing honeymoon in NYC, enjoy your photos!!
I love Lindsey and Rob’s saying that she surprised him and put on cuff links!
Lindsey and Rob had a friend come and bring their dog, Belle, for a few portraits. I’m so glad they did this!!
I posted about this on instagram but wanted to share how powerful this moment was here on the blog as well. Unfortunately, Lindsey’s mom and dad have both passed. Lindsey found many ways throughout her day to honor the two of them. Lindsey surprised EVERY SINGLE PERSON (except for me and the band) and SANG “When I look to the sky” during what would have been the daddy daughter dance. She had told Rob and her friends that she was going to give a little toast but they had no idea what she had up her sleeve. Her song was INCREDIBLE and so powerful and there wasn’t a dry eye in the tent (including my own). Lindsey- I’m so proud of you and loved photographing this moment and the moment for your guests as well!
So much fun seeing another AE couple at Lindsey and Rob’s wedding!
