Lianne and Ryan had the absolute perfect weather for their April wedding day. I was extra excited for this wedding because I photographed Lianne’s brother’s wedding last year and their family is SO MUCH FUN!
We started the day at the Hilton downtown which was such a classy place to get ready. The rest of the day was at the Vineyard Estate at New Kent Winery which has just about everything you could want in a venue! They have the classic white barn look, the green fields, lighted patio, and vineyards!! Lianne and Ryan chose to do a first look (actually not one but three, you’ll see)! This gave them so much time with their guests and they essentially went straight to cocktail hour after a few family portraits! A few things about this wedding I’ll never forget are Lianne’s grandma putting on her pearls (the exact ones she wore on her own wedding day), Lianne’s emotional first looks with her dad, 4 little brothers, and Ryan, and how excited all the guests were for Lianne’s dress change during the reception. You two making being in love look easy and I can’t wait to see what other home renovations and travels you do together. Enjoy!!
Lianne’s sister in law brought flowers for me to use to style her invitation suite. This makes a HUGE difference in these photos!
How special that grandma got to pass on her own wedding pearls!
Having my own child now, I think about how amazing it is that Lianne’s mom had 5 kids so close together!! How special now that they are all older and watching each other get married.
Ryan had the BEST reaction to seeing Lianne. I tell couples a lot about the benefits of a first look but one of my favorites is the moment the two of you get together!
Lianne- I don’t think I’ve ever gotten more comments about how amazing your hair was!! Lots of my friends are loyal followers of my weddings even though they don’t know the bride or groom and over the past two weeks I’ve probably had 5 of my own friends comment on how amazing Lianne looked.
I loved the combination of these blue dresses, amazing job to these bridesmaids! Also- a little touch up mid photos never hurts!
I normally don’t blog photos of guests from the ceremony but this woman down below, right when Lianne was walking down the aisle, she turned to me and said “Isn’t she beautiful?!” I’ll never forget that moment.
I’m pretty sure Mr. Valenza’s way of dealing with emotions is humor, ha!
