Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.

Holly Field Manor in the Heat

Brittany and Tucker had a beautiful Hollyfield Manor wedding on one of the hottest days of the summer! They had such an amazing attitude about the heat and were just so excited to get married. I was so incredibly happy this whole day, I honestly didn’t really think about the temperature until I got home and saw how sweaty I was, that’s how I know it was the best day!!

There’s just something about photographing a Hollyfield Manor wedding that feels like home. Jessica, the coordinator, is the absolute sweetest, and it was so great to work together all day. It’s such a beautiful property and every corner you walk around has a new incredible spot for portraits.

Brittany and Tucker’s Love Story

Brittany and Tucker have known each other for a long time!! They met at camp and Tucker wrote his number down for Brittany on a frisbee, they had the frisbee at their wedding! Their first date was before they could even drive and was at a putt-putt course. They grew up in a small town in Southwest Virginia and now live downtown Richmond. Brittany is in medical school and Tucker teaches elementary school in Hanover County.

A few things about this wedding I will never forget- your first touch/reading vows was so sweet and emotional, equally as emotional was Tucker’s face when Brittany walked down the aisle (just wait), and I loved when you two were announced into the reception and Brittany had tears of joy looking at all her people in one room. Your wedding was one I will never forget, I felt so honored to be there to capture it all. I delivered over 1200 photos to these two without a second shooter, it was that incredible. Enjoy reliving the best day ever!
