Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.

Spring Hollyfield Manor Wedding

This Spring Hollyfield Manor wedding was the perfect way to kick off the Spring wedding season. I always get to Hollyfield early to check in with Jessica, the venue coordinator. This time, when I found her we gushed about how amazing of a couple Kara and Adam are. It’s rare to show up on a wedding day and both the bride and groom give you a huge welcome and ask what we need. I should be asking what they need. That is just how these two are- kind, considerate, so so sweet.

Kara and Adam are also both great planners. Everything went so smooth all day long. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we got the most amazing sunset. The burying the bourbon tradition definitely worked for them.

A long Time Long

Kara and Adam knew each other years and years ago and went their separate ways for a little. Fate pulled them back together and they have been inseparable ever since. They have a sweet pup named Penny that walked down the aisle to Penny lane. It was the most adorable thing!!! I’m so glad we built photos with Penny into the timeline. Kara and Adam are traveling to London for their honeymoon in a few months. You’ll see a London theme with the girl’s pajamas, so unique and adorable!

I loved photographing so many sweet moments during yall’s wedding. Kara’s first look with her dad, first dances, an incredible wedding cake made by a friend, sunset photos on the beautiful long Hollyfield Manor driveway. I could go on and on. Thank you both for such an incredible day. I truly feel at home every time I show up to a Spring Hollyfield Manor wedding day. You two were so kind and made the whole day such a joy.
