Richmond Commonwealth Club
Ellie and Gray got married at the beautiful Richmond Commonwealth Club. The forecast was not looking promising all week leading up to Saturday but miraculously we got lucky and had pockets of time to get portraits outside. This wedding was extra special to me because I photographed their rehearsal dinner the night before and they had extra coverage on their wedding day so I got to spend so much time with Ellie, Gray, and their family and friends.
The Best Family
Ellie & Gray are seriously surrounded by some of the best people, I could go on and on about how welcoming each and every person was. Ellie is the baby of 4 siblings which created so much emotion in first looks, speeches, and photos. I’ll never forget Gray’s grandma coming up to me mid reception and thanking me for spending the weekend with them. She said, “Ashley- I ADORE Gray. He is the light of my life and Ellie is his perfect match. This is such a special day.” This was seriously the theme of the whole weekend. Two amazing people in love and every guest was honored to be there.
The Ultimate Dance Party
Ellie and Gray’s reception was probably the best dance party I’ve ever photographed. It felt like being at a raging concert the whole entire night!! I tried my best to push through the crowds and got some of the best shots. Power2Party was the band and they killed it!!! They had about 16 people with them including hype men, they were incredible. They had outfit changes, dance moves, the best music. I think guests thought they died and went to heaven when the late night snacks of doughnuts and chicken sliders were delivered straight to the dance floor. The Richmond Commonwealth Club was the perfect location for this dance party!
Alicia, from FBJ weddings is the best of the best when it comes to hair & makeup!
Ellie’s first look with her dad was so incredibly sweet. One of the first things he said was how the dress she picked out was “so her.” His last girl to get married, I can’t imagine how he is feeling!
Gray’s first look expression was just what I expected- pure joy!!
I love this photo below of Ellie seeing her friends right after walking back down the aisle.
Gray’s brother gave the best man speech and then “raised a toast.” LOL!
