Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.

Richmond Branch Museum

What a wedding!!!!! Literally every step of the day felt like a dream. My second shooter and I kept looking at each other just in awe. The beauty, the love, the incredible space and style…chef’s kiss!!! The day started at Blaire’s sisters house for an intimate girls getting ready space with FBJ killing it with hair and makeup. Then, we all drove to Branch museum and I was just floored. Every corner you turn is beauty at this venue. Blaire and Dom got lucky with the weather and were able to get married out back in the garden. They utilized this space for speeches and cocktail hour as well. Cocktail hour consisted of a full oyster bar, YUM!!

After speeches, guest moved inside for a casual dinner while Blaire and Dom enjoyed a private sunset dinner on the rooftop. It was truly magical!! We took some sunset photos up there and then their plates were being brought up right as the sun was setting. The rest of the night consisted of one of the best dance parties I’ve ever seen at a wedding. ReDrum was an incredible DJ/Band hybrid- I have a feeling this is going to be the new thing- you really do get the best of both worlds.

Sweet Love

Blaire and Dom- you two are so incredibly easy to photograph because of how in love you are. I loved capturing so many emotions all day long. The tears when Blaire did her bridesmaid reveal, incredible sentimental speeches, and private vows. It was an honor to be apart of such a special day for you two. This is a wedding I will be thinking about for years to come. I hope you two had a blast in Vietnam, what an amazing honeymoon location. Enjoy reliving the best day and a huge shoutout to the incredible vendors that helped. They are all tagged below. Congrats again Mr. and Mrs. D’Alexander!
