Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.
How to make the best of a long weekend in Sedona, Arizona.
Cody and Katie waited for this day for a long time. They tied the knot on a beautiful Spring day in Richmond.
Brittany and Everette traveled down from DC to experience the beautiful scenery at Libby Hill Park and on Monument Avenue.
Jaime and Bryant were another one of my special pandemic couples!! They got married on October 17th, 2020 at The Granary at Valley Pike on a beautiful day. They cut down their guest list significantly and took precautions to keep guests safe but at the end of the day, they got married!! Bryant and Jaime […]

I feel like I start every engagement session blog post saying this but I really can’t wait for this wedding!! Michele and I have worked together at Atlee for the past 3 years and don’t let a good happy hour, concert, or festival pass us by. Tim is a firefighter in Northern, Virginia and joins […]
When Craig and I started planning our Sedona trip right after Christmas I knew I wanted to take portraits of someone in the beautiful red rocks. I was trying to figure out how to find a couple that would let me photograph them and then I had an idea. What if I found another photographer […]
This is going to be a loooong post but one that I am SO excited about!! Believe it or not, this trip came to be on December 26th, 2020. Craig and I were feeling the Christmas blues and he kept asking me what I wanted to do for my 30th birthday coming up. I told […]
My favorite blog post of the whole entire year!!!! This is my 5th annual bride and groom superlatives and I am SO excited to share and brag on all of my 2020 brides and grooms. Most of these couples had to make significant changes to their wedding day and did it with such grace. 2020 […]
This was my second wedding I’ve ever photographed at the bride and groom’s home. There is something SO special about getting married at your own home. You will be able to revisit the exact spot you got married everyday. Honestly, I’m a tad jealous! This wedding did not happen without heartache and tribulation though. Mills […]
