Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.
All about Craig and I's honeymoon to Napa Valley, San Francisco, and Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Craig and I tied the knot at the beautiful Pharsalia in May surrounded by our amazing family and friends.
Five reasons to take bridal portraits and photos of my very own bridal portrait session at Maymont.
Rachel and Ryan are getting married on December 17th of this year at the Williamsburg Inn. I’m so excited to photograph them at the beautiful Inn when it’s decorated for Christmas!! I was equally as excited when they chose to have their engagement photos done here in Mechanicsville at their home and the Kings Charter […]
I’m so excited to introduce you to Richmond’s newest engaged couple! Proposals are such a fun thing to photograph because there is so much emotion involved!! There’s also something fun about being sneaky and catching the moment. Will reached out to me about a month ago and told me his plan. Him and Brooke recently […]
What an incredible engagement session!! When we scheduled these photos a long time ago, we had no way of knowing that the weather would be the perfect temperature or that they Fall leaves would be at their peak, we just got lucky!! Liv and Jackson were SO much fun and honestly so natural. They laughed […]
This blog post is really full circle and so special to me. Lindsey and I met in second grade at Cool Spring Elementary School and basically lived at each other’s houses throughout middle and high school. Our favorite past time was biking through our neighborhoods that connected to go get McDonald’s and check out a […]
Ashley and Eric had the perfect Fall evening for their engagement shoot! It felt so strange meeting them at 3:30 because we weren’t used to the sun setting so early but the lighting was perfect!! Eric and Ashley’s first date was on the rooftop at Quirk so it only made since to do some photos […]
When Craig and I moved to Puddle Duck Lane (yes, we are obsessed with the name) we had no idea that the sun set in our backyard like it does. I actually loved the office space in the house and thought that maybe one day, I could offer indoor sessions for senior drape pictures but […]
This engagement session felt like I was photographing old friends when really I’ve only met Lianne and Ryan one other time. They are just that friendly and easy to get along with!! Lianne’s brother got married this past March and I vividly remember watching her and Ryan interact and thinking to myself “they will be […]
Chris and Lauren’s story starts at JMU which automatically makes me love them! They met at JMU and were friends for awhile. They didn’t start dating until after they graduated and the rest is history! These two were so easy to photograph. We started at Maymont and ended at Belle Isle for the sunset. One […]
I feel like I start every engagement session blog post saying this but I really can’t wait for this wedding!! Michele and I have worked together at Atlee for the past 3 years and don’t let a good happy hour, concert, or festival pass us by. Tim is a firefighter in Northern, Virginia and joins […]
