Hi there, I’m Ashley Edmunds and I photograph weddings all over the world but my heart is in Virginia.
I grew up in Richmond, lived in the heart of Shenandoah for 7 years, and then found my way back to Richmond. Once you get to know me, you’ll see I’m a little Richmond obsessed. I can help you find the best restaurant, park, or brewery for any part of this wonderful city. I love photographing weddings here at home, in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, DC, and beyond! When I’m not photographing weddings I’m most likely chasing River, my yellow lab trying to get a shoe out of his mouth, teaching my high school kiddos, or traveling with my amazing fiance Craig.
Ellie & Gray got married downtown Richmond at the beautiful Commonwealth Club.
Craig and I tied the knot at the beautiful Pharsalia in May surrounded by our amazing family and friends.
Kelsey and Jay recently had baby Preston and we took in home newborn photos!
Another photographer reached out to me on instagram when I posted Will and Brooke’s Hollyfield Manor wedding sneak peek photos telling me how beautiful the photos were. The best response to that and to sum up their day was that everything was SO SEAMLESS. The weather? Perfect. The venue and planner? AMAZING! The couple? Super […]
Intimate Farm Wedding I was honored to take photos for Cris and Bekah’s intimate farm wedding in Warrenton, Virginia. Bekah and Cris live in California and planned the most beautiful, special celebration from across the country. A few years ago Bekah’s parents moved to a farm property in Warrenton and it was the perfect backdrop […]
Summer in Georgetown I absolutely loved taking Mike and Rachel’s engagement photos in downtown Georgetown! I feel so lucky to live in Richmond where there are so many beautiful photo spots but there’s something about going to an entirely new town that makes me feel super creative all over again. Not only did I shoot […]
Special Connection I’m so excited to share this incredible, intimate Virginia House wedding with you today!! I had a special connection to this wedding because not only do Chelsea and I have a mutual friend, but Chelsea clocked into work on the Labor & delivery unit at St. Mary’s about 10 minutes after Annie was […]
Belle Isle Golden Hour There is something magical about the James River and Belle Isle at golden hour. David and Delani are getting married next April and the countdown is already on! They are troopers and were down for anything and everything and because of this- they got amazing photos! We had planned this location […]
Richmond Commonwealth Club Ellie and Gray got married at the beautiful Richmond Commonwealth Club. The forecast was not looking promising all week leading up to Saturday but miraculously we got lucky and had pockets of time to get portraits outside. This wedding was extra special to me because I photographed their rehearsal dinner the night […]
The Gardens during Maymont Golden Hour You really can’t beat Maymont golden hour during the Spring! I felt like everywhere we turned I was stopping Lindsay and Ballard to take another photo. The flowers were in bloom and the weather was absolutely perfect!! We ended the shoot at Byrd Park with their adorable pups for […]
Rainy Charlottesville Wool Factory Wedding Leading up to Annie and Adam’s wedding day, I was obsessively checking the weather and finally decided that it was going to rain all day long and we’d make beautiful portraits inside. You can imagine my surprise when the forecast changed literally 30 minutes after I arrived at The Wool […]
